After 25 years in the currency trading industry, I needed to reconnect with the art of creating and spirit of adventure that was missing in my life and was seeking something that inspired me. Upon meeting co-founder Paul Brenner in early 2014, the happiness that film, music and adventure had always brought me suddenly took on a greater significance. Paul was working on ‘The Road To Peace - The Pat Farmer’ run through the Middle East at the time and my interest in production was sparked.
Sharing a sense of adventure we joined forces to film our first Life Challenge documentary in Papua New Guinea, taking on the notorious Kokoda War Trail. The experience not only exposed me to the passion of surrounding actors, cameramen, editors, producers and tour guides, but more importantly it reignited a sense of youthful exuberance that comes from loving what you do. I remember being gripped by the same feeling as a teenager when I saw "Local Hero" back in 1983. Not only did it evoke a real sense of pride in my Scottish ancestry but I became fascinated with the powerful relationship between music and vision which that film achieved so brilliantly.
I knew I would set out on a new journey within the entertainment industry and since Kokoda, Wallace Media Group has grown to encompass a world class creative team with limitless potential and the capability to produce high-quality content. Working across the factual entertainment, reality TV and scripted genres there is one benchmark we strive for and that is leaving a positive influence on our audience and filming locations in a way that inspires others.
